DeepCool, a well-known Chinese manufacturer of PC hardware, has recently made headlines for reasons other than product innovation.
Two months ago, the U.S. placed sanctions on DeepCool for its reported dealings with Russian companies involved in the Ukraine conflict.
These sanctions barred DeepCool from selling or importing its products in the U.S.
Yet, DeepCool products haven’t disappeared from the shelves. Instead, they’ve been rebranded under the name “Shaking Tank.”
Retailers like Amazon and Newegg continue to carry these items, with the DeepCool logos and names removed from product images.
This clever rebranding allows the products to stay on the market, albeit under a new identity.
